CEOE: all business
in a single organisation

Representing and defending Spanish businesses and entrepreneurs. The CEOE (Spanish Confederation of Business Organisations) was founded in 1977. It is a voluntary association that brings together two million businesses and freelancers from all sectors of activity, linked to the Confederation via more than 4500 grass-roots associations.

  • Founded in 1977
  • 4500 basic member associations
  • Over 200 territorial and sectoral organisations
  • Over 20 consultative bodies, comprising Committees and Councils

Dialogue
and social partnership

We have always favoured dialogue and negotiation with social partners. The importance of business associations in Spain is reflected in the Preliminary Section of the Spanish Constitution of 1978, which also highlights their contribution to the defence and promotion of economic and social interests.

Influence on society

The CEOE’s opinions are listened to in the upper and lower houses of the Spanish parliament, and at public administrations and official bodies.

Represented at BusinessEurope, the European employers’ association

With a vice-presidency currently held by CEOE President Antonio Garamendi

Internationalisation
